What Is Spray Foam Installation

Spray foam insulation installation is the process of adding a layer of foam to your existing insulation in order to improve its performance. foam is a highly effective type of insulation that can be applied to both walls and ceilings. It is made up of two components: an open-cell foam and closed-cell foam. The open-cell foam expands when it comes into contact with air, creating a seal that prevents heat loss. The closed-cell foam, on the other hand, does not expand and instead creates a barrier that reflects heat back into the room.

Areas We Apply Spray Foam Insulation

Roofing

Spray foam roofing insulation is a great way to improve the energy efficiency of your home, especially for new construction homes. It is a process where a layer of foam is applied to the underside of your roof decking. This will help to reflect heat back into the home and prevent it from escaping through the attic.

Attics

Attic spray foam insulation is a process where a layer of spray foam is applied to the ceiling of your attic. This will help to reflect heat back into the home and prevent it from escaping through the attic. - When you double up on roofing and attic spray foam you are increasing your homes r-value and making it highly energy efficient

Walls

Just as it sounds instead of traditional fiberglass insulation which is placed in between your studs, spray foam insulation is sprayed on the inside of the walls of your home. This will help to better insulate your home as fiberglass can settle over time and leave gaps for heat to escape.

Crawl Spaces & Sheds

Pier or stilted homes that have crawl spaces and even sheds can be made more efficient with foam insulation. The foam that is installed will help to better insulate your home as well as keep moisture and pests out of the crawl space.

Whole Home Insulation

Older homes that have outdated insulation can benefit from having the insulation replaced with spray foam insulation. This will help to improve the energy efficiency of your home as well as increase its value.

Basement

Basements are often one of the biggest culprits of heat loss in a home. Basement insulating is the process of adding a layer of foam to your existing insulation in order to improve its performance.

Agricultural

Agricultural buildings such as barns and greenhouses can benefit from spray foam insulation. This will help to keep the building cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. It is also a great way to reduce noise pollution and keep your total r-value in check.

Commercial

The growth of Las Vegas over the years has been pretty explosive. Running a business is expensive and it is even more expensive not to have spray foam insulation done when you are constructing your property. The heating and cooling costs for your business will be dramatically influenced by your insulation choices.

Types of Spray Foam We Use

Closed Cell

Closed cell foam is a type of insulation that is made up of tiny cells that are closed off from each other. This makes it ideal for use in areas where there is little or no airflow. It is also a great choice for areas where you need a high R-value, such as in an attic.

Open Cell

Open cellfoam is made up of cells that are not completely closed off from each other. This makes it a great choice for areas where there is good airflow. It is also a good choice for insulating electrical wiring or plumbing. Open cell spray foam has a lower R-value than closed cell spray foam, but it is still a good insulator.

If you are not sure which type of foam is right for your project, call us today and we can help you decide.

How Is Spray Foam Installed

The foam is installed by a professional installer. The process usually starts with a site visit so that the installer can see the area that needs to be insulated and take measurements. They will also assess the type of insulation that is currently in place and make recommendations for removal or replacement.

Once the site visit is complete, the installer will prepare the area for installation. This usually includes putting down a layer of plastic to protect your floors and furniture from the spray foam.

Once the area is prepared, the installer will mix the two components of foam together and begin spraying it into the space. The foam will expand and fill the space. Once it is dry, you will be able to use the space that was once unusable due to poor insulation.
